About the TempleAn ancient temple of Sadhi Mata has located 2 km towards the south of Kherva village which is on Mehsana - Kalol highway in Gujarat. The temple stands under a huge Neem tree. A rectangular dome is seen on the interior of the temple. The temple is covered by cement terrace. The Sadhi Mata temple has a modern and vast complex. Behind the temple, an open space is available which is basically used to organize fair and other religious events. The Sadhi Mata is kul-devi or ishta-devi of Raval Yogi Community.
Temple HistoryThe Sadhi Mata temple was built by former priest Shree Khodabhai Raval. His descendants worship the goddess. The Sadhu Mata’s temple is extremely popular not only in Kherva but also in surrounding area. People visit the temple on barefoot to fulfil their wishes. “Dharo Atham No Melo” or fair is the main event of the temple which was started by Raval Yogi community.
Festivals and CelebrationsOn Sundays and Tuesdays people visit the Sadhi Mata temple barefoot to seek blessings of Goddess. Every year, on the auspicious day of Dharo Atham, a fair is organized. It was started by Raval Yogi of Kherva. Local legend says that the fair began after the Flagging of Raval Yogi Community.

By Air: The nearest airport to the Sadhi Mataji temple is located at Mehsana. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel airport (60 km) is another airport which is located at Ahmedabad.
By Train: The nearest railway stations are Jagudan (4 km), Mehsana (8 km) and Ahmedabad (65 km).
By Road: The Sadhi Mataji temple is located 10 km away from Gandhinagar and 18 km away from Ahmedabad. Buses and private vehicles are available at Uvarsad bus stand.
