About the TempleCharbhuja Temple is nestled in the village Garhbor of Rajsamand district in Rajasthan. Garhbor drives its name from the fort made by Bor Rajputs. It is situated at a distance of 38 km from Rajsamand and 103 km from Udaipur.
Charbhuja temple is consecrated to Lord Vishnu. The temple has 85 centimeters tall idol of Shri Charbhuja Ji. The idol has four arms which hold conch, discus, mace and a lotus flower. The discus and the mace represent dynamic power, energy, and prowess. An idol of Garuda Ji is also installed in the temple courtyard.

Temple History and Temple ArchitectureShri Charbhuja temple was constructed by the king Shri Gang Dev Ji on the banks of Gomati river during 1444 A.D. The temple is known for its exemplary architecture and magnificent mirror work. White marble, lime mortar, and mirror are used as the construction material for this temple. The temple has gold and silver shutters and stone elephants which are placed on either side of the temple entrance.

The Temple has a tallest pinnacle on the sanctum sanctorum, which has an octagonal, round tomb like shape. The temple also has a large campus.
The Temple has been conceived and built on a grand scale. Shri Charbhuja temple is a center of Vaishnava faith and devotion. This temple is said to be thousands of years old. The locals believe that Shri Charbhuja Ji has also worshiped during the Dwapar period. During the darshan time, a sword and shield are placed as the symbols of Rajput chivalry.
Temple LegendKing Shri Gang Dev received a divine message in his dream to recover and re-install this idol. Later, this idol was recovered from the water of Gomati river after Shri Gang Dev got a message through a dream. The king then installed the idol. This idol is said to have worshipped by the Pandavas during their exile period. At this place, as many as 125 battles were fought over the centuries to protect this idol during which many a time it was submerged in the water of river Gomati for safety.

Festivals, pujas, and celebrations
A large fair is held in Shri Charbhuja temple every year on Bhadrapad Ekadashi which is also known as Jhaljhoolani Ekadashi.
Thousands of pilgrims visit this miraculous idol during Jhaljhoolani Ekadashi. Pilgrims take part in the great procession and locals welcome them with perfume and flowers.Holi is another festival which is celebrated on the large scale.Other festivals celebrated in this temple are Navaratras, Janamashtami, and Ramanavami. On Nights of Navaratras, Gharava dance and other cultural and traditional festivals are held with great zeal and devotion.

By Road: Buses are available from all the major cities of Rajasthan to access the temple in Jaipur.
By Train: The nearest railway head is Rajsamand which is located at a distance of 40 km.
By Air: The nearby airport is in Dabok that is located at a distance of 137 km. Taxis are available from the airport to reach the temple.
