About the TempleGarh Ganesh Temple is an ancient temple located in the Jaipur, Rajasthan. Garh Ganesha temple is consecrated to Lord Ganesh. Nestled in the Aravali hills, near Jaigarh and Nahargarh Fort, Garh Ganesha temple houses the idol of Baal Ganesh, without a trunk.
This temple is surrounded by the serene hills and beautiful greenery. Devotees climb three hundred and sixty- five steps to reach the historic Garh Ganesh Temple. The idol of Lord Ganesh is attired with gold and silver ornaments. Here, Lord Ganesh is seen along with his two wives Ridhi and Sidhi, two sons Subh and Labh and his vehicle, Mouse. The atmosphere of the temple is calm and holy. Beautiful paintings on the temple walls fill the atmosphere with positive energy, making the temple more attractive.

Temple History
The temple was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh when he conducted the "Ashwamegha Yagya" before the establishment of Jaipur city. He installed an idol of Lord Ganesh in such a way that he could view the temple and idol from the Chandra Mahal of City Palace, Jaipur.
The temple is managed by ‘Audichya’ Brahmin family.

Temple LegendIt is believed that Lord Ganesh is present in the temple in the form of a small child. According to Hindu scriptures, once Goddess Parvati wanted to meditate in a peaceful environment. The Goddess Parvati created a sculpture of a boy from the dirt of her body and instilled life in it. When Lord Shiva came to pay a visit to Goddess Parvati, the boy did not allow him to meet Goddess Parvati, as per her instructions. Lord Shiva was infuriated and he beheaded the boy with his Trishul. To Memories same, a temple dedicated to the baal roop (Child form) of Lord Ganesh was built here.

Festivals, Puja, and Celebrations
Every year, a five-day fair is organized on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi in Bhadrapad Shukla Paksha. Garh Ganesh fair celebrations begin a day before the Ganesh Chaturthi. The celebrations begin by the offering of Mehndi to Lord Ganesh. The statue of Lord Ganesh is decorated with green leaves and flower garlands during the fair celebrations.
Anna-koot is organized in the temple premises on the first Wednesday after Diwali.
The last Wednesday of 'Paush month' is celebrated by organizing 'Paush bade’.How to reach
